Location: Foxchase and Foxchase Landing are located between Ivy and Crozet off Rt 250 West in the Western Albemarle School District. 1 mile from the Blue Ridge Shopping Center which offers a wonderful Harris Teeter supermarket, Cardinal Building Supply, and many other smaller businesses, dentists, eye doctors, and restaurants.
Directions: From Charlottesville, take 64 West to the Crozet exit, Turn right onto 250 East towards Crozet, Turn left onto Foxdale Ln. Or from Ivy, head west past Rt 240 after 3 miles look for Foxdale Lane on your right.
Albemarle County Public Schools that serve the two neighborhoods are Brownsville Elementary, Henley Middle, and Western Albemarle High.
My thoughts: Great location, great Blue Ridge Mountain views from atop the small Foxchase hill, wonderful public schools, close to shopping and some attractive, albeit small amenities. I give Foxchase & Foxchase Landing an 8 out of 10.
Note: The backside of Foxchase overlooks the Western Ridge neighborhood which is sited off Rt 240 in Crozet.
Note – 505 Foxchase Lane was the original estate home before the development began in 2007. It originally sold for just over $1m in 2005 on almost 2 acres. Then again sold in 2022 for $1,285,000.
Note – Foxchase Landing owners are unable to join the Foxchase HOA board however, they are able to join the Foxchase Architectural Review Board.
