The Old Trail neighborhood consists of single-family homes, townhomes, and apartment rentals all of which surround the Village Center (like a small, historic New England town).
There are six miles of walking trails, the Old Trail ACAC fitness center (the ACAC Crozet hours are 8 am-6 pm Mon -Thurs/ 8 am – 12 pm Fri-Sat.
There are several other locations in our area), including a soccer field, a fabulous outdoor pool, and a challenging public golf course, all of which sit on 800 acres with spectacular Blue Ridge Mountain views.
But wait!
There’s more…there’s a community fire pit for get-togethers during chilly nights and a professional bocce court.
Not only is Old Trail the most popular Charlottesville neighborhood, but it is also one of mine.
Western Albemarle Schools are located outside the entrance and offer all three: elementary, middle, and high, and are considered some of the best public schools in Virginia.
The historic town of Crozet is within walking distance and offers tasty restaurants and a wonderful old hardware store where they guide & serve you one at a time. Another one of my favs.
There are numerous vineyards nearby (including a vineyard that offers polo on Sundays at King Family Vineyard).
Shopping and more restaurants are a short drive away at the Blue Ridge Shopping Center (including a newer Harris Teeter).
The total build-out is to be 2,600 single-family homes.
There are also Old Trail townhomes (some with elevators) that offer phenomenal views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Old Trail Village Crozet VA Homes for Sale
The first home in Old Trail was sold in Nov. of 2005.
Since then, 664 single-family homes, and 498 townhomes (Craig Builders of Old Trail Crozet builds the finest townhomes known as The Townes in Old Trail) have sold.
Note – Old Trail does not offer any condos for sale at this moment (early 2023).
Recently Sold Homes in Old Trail 2023
From June 2022 to Feb 2023, 37 Old Trail single-family homes were sold.
The median sold price was $775k, the high was $1,655,000k, and the low was $480k.
From June 2022 to Feb 2023, 18 Old Trail townhomes were sold.
The median sold price was $684k, the high was $870K, and the low was $249k.
