My thoughts – I don’t like Riverwood. It’s in a lousy location and too far from anything other than NGIC. (However, it is perfect for those seeking homes near NGIC).
I think Ryan sold everyone on it being the most affordable place to buy in Albemarle County and it was since they paid United Land so little for the land.
Your kids will be bored to death here in the summer and on holidays and I can guarantee you you’ll be shuttling them around to make them happy.
The 5-acre community park that was hyped is not what I expect a park to look like. It’s more like a field in a river floodplain.
I also think, reselling these homes is going to be tough in the future and the quality has yet to be determined.
My suggestion – Look at Forest Lakes homes where there are some fabulous amenities. I give Riverwood a 5 out of 10. It’s a bore.
PS – As you can see, I also don’t like Ryan Homes.
