Albemarle County Public Schools that serve the Hyland Ridge neighborhood are Stony Point Elementary, Burley Middle, and Monticello High Schools.
Location: Off Rt 20 near Pantops on the eastern side of Albemarle County. 3 mins to I-64 (Shadwell exit); 5 mins to Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital; 3 miles from downtown Charlottesville, and 14 mins to UVA.
Directions: From Downtown: Take 250 E towards Pantops. At Stony Point Rd/Rt. 20, turn left. Go 1/2 mile to a right on Fontana Drive. Continue through Fontana into Hyland Ridge.
My thoughts: Great location if you work at Sentara Martha Jefferson or need to get on I-64 5 days a week. Rt 20 north is spectacularly scenic with Charlottesville historic homes and horse farms.
I give Hyland Ridge Charlottesville an 8 out of 10. Why not a 10? The Fontana neighborhood is next to you and it is large. There’s a lack of amenities for the kids and the roads around Pantops can be hazardous during rush hour. What are your thoughts?
