Before we tell you what’s hot, we need to give you a scenario of Charlottesville condos sold from Jan 1st to Sept 1st, 2020.

126 condos in Charlottesville & Albemarle County have sold.

Lowest Price Sold: $80,000 (Wow, I wish I had seen that one come on the market! It was in Barracks West Condos. I remember seeing it. It was a mess and it had to have been snapped up by an investor.)

Highest Price Sold: $1,882,500 (The Residences at 218). Only 6 Charlottesville luxury condos over $500K have sold all year…)

Median Price Sold: $250,000 (where are you going to buy a two-bed room affordable Charlottesville condo for that price? Amazing…)

What’s interesting is only 46 condos in the city of Charlottesville were sold.

Whereas, 80 Albemarle condos sold. Who would have guessed that double the amount of sales was in the county?

I’m amazed…

So what’s HOT today in the Charlottesville condominium market?

  1. Walker Sq (between downtown and UVA)
  2. Turtle Creek (1st time Charlottesville condo buyers always look here)
  3. Villas at Southern Ridge (easy access to I-64 in the southern area of Charlottesville)
  4. River Bend (Newer and located near downtown)
  5. 1800 Jefferson Park Ave (a wonderful, easy walk to UVA Med School and UVA hospital)

Our pick of the affordable condos? Well it depends on where you work but if was working from home, I’d choose Walker Square for it’s proximity to the Charlottesville Historic Downtown Mall and UVA.

See why:

But if I was loaded ($) and wanted something off the Charlottesville Historic Downtown Mall then I’d go with the grandest and newest: The Residences at 218. Here’s why…

So there you go…Remember, we’ve been a Charlottesville Buyers Agent since 2003 and know the Charlottesville condo market extremely well.
