Charlottesville Public Schools that serve Druid Hill condos are Summit Elementary, Charlottesville Middle, and Charlottesville High schools.
Location: Located in Belmont close to I-64. Druid Ave also known as Rt 20, is a busy road from traffic coming off the I-64 ramp.
Directions: From Downtown, south on Avon St, left onto Monticello Ave, left to Druid Hill parking lot on the left.
My Thoughts: I’ve never been a fan of Druid Hill Condos. The road it fronts is very busy and those 2.5 stories can be tough and bringing groceries up from the basement garage is hurtful. The area is non-descript and you can hear I-64’s traffic. No amenities. I give Druid Hills Condos a 6 out of 10.

As Toby Beavers, a top Charlottesville realtor since 2003, I have helped countless buyers discover the charm and practicality of Druid Hill condos in Charlottesville, VA.
These townhouse-style condos on Druid Avenue represent one of the most appealing low-maintenance living options in the heart of the vibrant Belmont neighborhood.
Whether you are searching for Druid Hill condos in Belmont, Charlottesville, or simply browsing Druid Ave condos, this community consistently stands out for its blend of convenience, modern comfort, and unbeatable location.
Built around 2004, Druid Hill Condos offer spacious, multi-level layouts that feel more like individual townhomes than traditional condos.
Units typically feature 2 to 3 bedrooms and 3.5 to 4 bathrooms, with living spaces ranging from about 1,800 to over 2,500 square feet.
Many include private entrances, front porches for morning coffee, rear access, and perhaps the biggest perk, an attached one-car garage with extra storage.
This setup provides the privacy and functionality of a single-family home while eliminating yard maintenance and exterior upkeep.
The homeowners’ association handles common areas, landscaping, trash, and exterior responsibilities.
Inside, these homes often boast open floor plans with flexible living areas, updated kitchens featuring stainless appliances in recent sales, hardwood or laminate flooring, and plenty of natural light from large windows.
Higher-end units have seen beautiful renovations, including modern finishes, insulated windows for energy efficiency, and bonus rooms that work perfectly as home offices, gyms, or guest suites.
Recent comparable sales have ranged from the mid-$300,000s to around $385,000 to $400,000, depending on size, updates, and views.
For instance, larger end units with extra square footage have commanded strong prices due to their adaptability for growing families or remote workers.
What truly sets Druid Hill apart is its prime spot in the Belmont neighborhood, one of Charlottesville’s most walkable and lively areas.
Belmont mixes historic charm with modern energy, featuring a diverse array of housing, corner stores, and a strong sense of community.
Residents love the short stroll, often just 20 minutes, to Belmont’s array of local restaurants, cafes, and shops.
From cozy spots for craft beer and farm-to-table dining to quick bites, the neighborhood’s food scene is a daily delight.
Add another 10-minute walk, and you are at the Historic Downtown Mall, with its pedestrian-friendly brick streets lined with boutiques, theaters, live music venues, and events year-round.
Outdoor enthusiasts appreciate the proximity to green spaces, trails, and parks.
The Saunders-Monticello Trail is a quick drive away for biking or walking, offering scenic routes toward Monticello and the surrounding countryside.
Belmont’s location also provides easy access to I-64 for commuters heading toward the Blue Ridge Mountains or beyond, perfect for weekend getaways to hiking spots or the James River.
For medical professionals, students, or anyone tied to healthcare, the UVA Hospital (University of Virginia Medical Center) is a major draw.
Druid Hill Condos sit just a short distance away, typically a 10- to 16-minute bike ride or quick drive, making it an ideal choice for shift workers at the hospital or those needing frequent access to UVA’s world-class facilities.
The commute is straightforward, avoiding much of the heavier downtown traffic.
The elevated position of some units offers peaceful views over Carter’s Mountain and Albemarle County vistas, providing a serene backdrop amid urban convenience.
As someone who has watched Charlottesville evolve since the early 2000s, I can tell you that Druid Hill condos in Belmont Charlottesville appeal to a wide range of buyers: young professionals seeking low-maintenance city living, empty-nesters downsizing without sacrificing space, investors eyeing strong rental potential (with some condos occasionally available as rentals), and families who value walkability over large yards.
The Druid Hill neighborhood remains relatively small and well-maintained, fostering a neighborly feel without the bustle of larger developments.
Inventory in this niche community can be limited, often with no active listings at any given time, as units sell quickly when they hit the market.
Recent activity shows strong demand, with properties moving efficiently due to their rare combination of size, garage parking, and location.
If you are considering Druid Ave condos, note that while newer apartment buildings have popped up nearby on Druid Avenue, Druid Hill stands out for its townhome-style ownership model and established feel.
If you are ready to explore whether Druid Hill fits your lifestyle, I recommend keeping an eye on new listings or contacting Toby Beavers, a top Charlottesville real estate agent early.
These homes do not linger long, especially with Charlottesville’s growing appeal as a place that balances small-city charm, natural beauty, and top-tier amenities like those at UVA.
Whether you are drawn to the Belmont vibe, the short hop to the hospital, or the hassle-free living, Druid Hill Condos offer a smart, rewarding opportunity in one of the city’s most sought-after pockets.
