My thoughts – Grassmere Farm in Ivy Virginia is a peaceful place to live, but has no amenities for your kids. Murray Elementary has a terrific playground, but they might close it on weekends for insurance purposes.

I give Grassmere a 7 out of 10. Why only a 7? You have to cross the train tracks to get into the neighborhood, there are too few homes, and really nothing to do as a kid except roam the forests. (That’s not all bad!)
