For the Charlottesville luxury homes market there are 16 priced over $900k, built from 2018-2020 and they’re located in Glenmore (due east of Charlottesville in a luxury, golf, tennis & equestrian community), Ashcroft also due east but with no amenities and located on a mountain, Old Trail (in Crozet…a fabulous new community with everything and perfect for kids. Located in the best school district.), and Whittington (a Stanley Martin development located on Old Lynchburg Rd for 4.5 miles past Mosby Mountain in the middle of no where).
Our pick? Simple, because I love amenities and an easy drive: Old Trail and Glenmore For the Charlottesville luxury condos market there are 10 priced over $700k and they’re located in White Gables near Boar’s Head Inn and Farmington Country Club, and The Residences at 218 & The Randolph downtown. The median price is $855k. My pick? White Gables if I want to live in the country (surrounded by golf courses – Birdwood & Farmington) and The Residences at 218 if I want to be right in the center of downtown Charlottesville with a one block walk to the Historic Downtown Mall For the Charlottesville luxury townhouse market there are 17 priced over $700k and they’re located in Old Trail (Crozet in Western Albemarle), Kenridge (again located next to the Boar’s Head Inn and Farmington Country Club), and C&0 Row in downtown Charlottesville.
Our pick? Old Trail. Why? Because it’s new with spectacular Blue Ridge Mountain views and offers golf, tennis, shops, restaurants, vineyards and an Olympic-size swimming pool and Kenridge just so you can see what we’re talking about. They are attractive but not as wonderful as the other two So, if you are fleeing some area in the North or poor old California or just downsizing then let’s chat. I love what I do and have been doing this since 1996. Always use a savvy Charlottesville realtor (since 2003) and get the correct comps when you decide to make an offer on any Charlottesville homes.
