C&O Row Builders: Evergreen Home Builders in 2017, the last one was completed in 2020.
Described by the builder as “brownstone downtown townhomes. C&O Row offers an open concept smart design, private elevator, rooftop terrace with half bath, pergola, and 360-degree views, two car garage, all brick exterior with covered bluestone entry, 10’ ceilings in great room and kitchen, open stair system from the first floor to rooftop, oversized double hung Pella windows, finish in place white oak hardwood floors in all living areas, gourmet kitchen with 9’ center island, 30″ Wolfe Range and Subzero refrigerator, spa-like baths with designer tile surrounds & floors, steel tubs & full tiled shower enclosures, full floor master suite with walk-in closets and study option. Gas fireplace and bookshelves in great room, extensive trim package.”
Directions: From Downtown head east past the C&O Restaurant and historic Coaling Tower to the property on the left.
My thoughts: I give this Charlottesville luxury townhomes neighborhood a 7 out of 10.
While the interiors are 5-star, the lack of any greenspace is terrible. Most of us want a small backyard for our pets or gardening.
The prices are way too high for my liking!
I also dislike the area…you’ll never want to walk from Downtown Charlottesville home at night.
The developers got a great deal on this land is all I can think.
And finally, take a look at how close the townhomes are to Water Street and the C&O rail yard.
You better love the squealing sounds of freight trains at all hours of the day and night.
I much prefer Belmont Lofts both for its architectural beauty and proximity to all the fun and dining in Belmont.
